**About us**
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
**About the role**
The Supervising Registrar will supervise the day-to-day operations of the MCV Service Centre team members as assigned, and provide oversight of operational staff to ensure a quality and standardised service is provided for all digital public enquiries and administrative functions aligned with the MCV Service Centre Service Level Agreement.
The Supervising Registrar will support the Operations Manager to develop procedural material to assist service centre staff respond to enquiries aligned with the MCV Service Centre Service Level Agreement. This includes training, development, coaching and additional supports for all assigned team members as required.
The Supervising Registrar is expected to be an operational service centre staff member, exercise registrar powers conferred under the Magistrates' Court Act 1989 and other legislation, resolve escalated complex enquiries; and manage any service complaints.
**About you**
We are looking for a Registrar who can perform all legal, administrative, and quasi-judicial functions, including identifying and responding to family violence risk, required to support the operations of the MCV Service Centre.
You wil have experience or capability to assist the service centre leadership to develop and deliver training materials to build workforce capability, promote collaborative work practices between team members and leverage individual skill sets.
