**About us**

Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the ‘Bushland Shire’, our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces.

**About the role**

An exciting time exists to join Council and be pivotal in developing the organisational development roadmap in conjunction with the Manager, People & Culture and the business. With a large appetite for delivery, the role will coach and support the OD team to develop programs which meet our longer term vision and objectives while supporting the business through the implementation of these initiatives.

A varied and rewarding role, some of the key deliverables will include:

- Developing culture & engagement strategies to support high performance
- Development and implementation of talent management and capability frameworks
- Leadership and management development
- Managing learning and development
- Organisational change management
- Developing external partnerships to assist in the delivery of the OD roadmap
- Leading, coaching and mentoring the team
- Management of the OD budget

**About you**
- We're looking for an enthusiastic leader that is keen to take that next step in their career and who is passionate about making a difference and driving Council's People & Culture programs forward.
- This role provides leadership, guidance and high-level specialist advice on both strategic and operational OD matters, therefore experience in this area is a must in developing, implementing and reviewing OD programs.
- Results orientated with a commercial mindset
- Highly collaborative with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to engage at all levels of an organisation
- Experience in program management, budgeting and reporting
- Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience for the role is a must
