**About the role**

Reporting into the GM of Customer Sustainability, this role is responsible for leading a team of 10-12 safer gambling specialists in their daily operations across our prevention and detection strategies for customers. The Head of Safer Gambling is a highly important role when looking at our strategy as it is a key player in advancing the development and maturity of Sportsbet’s “responsible gambling” agenda. You will support the organisation’s future growth ambitions by ensuring our performance and operating model constantly evolves to be ahead of legislation requirements. You will champion our Safer Gambling initiatives internally to ensure Sportsbet customers continue to play safe by creating trust in our industry.

Key responsibilities:

- Improve and enhance our customer decision making framework associated with responsible gambling and real time intervention
- Drive and continuously ensure Sportsbet meet all compliance obligations associated with Responsible Gambling, as defined in various sources of regulation, legislation and codes of practice
- Develop, implement, and optimise quality assurance framework to ensure all interventions are handled consistently and with empathy but defendable against complaints and disputes
- Champion and drive consistent customer experience across sustainability customer facing functions
- Advancing the sustainability of the Sportsbet relationship with its customers and creating trust in Sportsbet and our industry (this includes, tool adoption, customer engagement, and communications)
- Ensuring the team are well equipped to make sound and defendable decisions in relation to customer and staff gambling harm minimisation.
- Ability to lead by example, and role model the Sportsbet Values by developing a strong performance culture.

**About You**

We’re looking for an inspiring and energetic leader with a passion for change. In addition;
- Proven experience in making customer centric and risk-based decisions from performance indicators and data
- Continuous improvement mindset with customer experience at the forefront of decisions
- Experience in leading a call centre or operational team within a high profiled and heavily regulated environment
- Ability to establish operational processes and drive enhancements and efficiencies.
- Proven experience building scaled, sustainable, technology enabled strategies through period of intense growth and driving these to delivery
- Experience managing external stakeholder groups including regulators and partners to deliver outcomes
