**Job Description**:
Variety is the spice of life Do you want to work in a luxury 5-star hospitality environment with the largest conferencing operation in Brisbane? Sofitel Brisbane Central is looking for a luxury service professional to join a bustling and bright banqueting team.
This hands-on position supports the overall administrative and technical tasks related to the operations of Conference and Events. Success in this role is the ability to be impeccably organised, learn quickly and provide phenomenal service to our guests.
A positive attitude, immaculate personal presentation, Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate and the ability to say “Bonjour” is a must.
What you will be doing:
- Assist conference guests with concierge duties such as printing, cloak room and making reservations
- Undertake administrative duties to assist the Conference and Events Sales department
- Design and print menus, labels and signage
- Organise outgoing and incoming stock
- Perform regular floor checks and walk throughs
- Liaise with Engineering team regarding maintenance requests
- Liaise with Sales and Kitchen teams in relation to events and menus.
**Qualifications**:
What we want from you:
- Work mornings and evenings on a rotating roster, with full availability on weekends and public holidays
- Qualification in Business Administration or similar is advantageous
- Strong IT skills in Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, Opera, Delphi and Xibo signage
- Functions experience in a large hospitality events operation
- Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification
- A luxury service focused personality
- A high level of personal presentation
- Personal and professional alignment with the Sofitel brand standards
- Ability to work efficiently, both independently and in a team.
