**About the role**

Join an award-winning Children’s Services Team, dynamic and passionate in supporting children and their families in the Greater Dandenong community. Additional funding has created an opportunity for a Business Support Officer - Quality and Compliance - Family Day Care

The primary objectives of the position are to:

- Maintain appropriate system/s, as part of the quality and business improvement for administration, as an approved service provider of childcare - family day care
- Contribute to the implementation of business process improvement planning, performance, and monitoring for compliance
- Support the administration of payment processing and compliance with legal and financial obligations, as an approved service provider of childcare - family day care

**Selection of the most suitable applicant will be based on the following**:
Essential
- Relevant Diploma qualifications [e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Education] with relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications with relevant work skills to undertake administration and other frontline tasks for the Department and Directorate
- Maintain document management, including reviewing and analysing the quality of documented information for compliance with the national law(s), regulations, and quality standards in the provision of operating as an approved service provider of childcare - family day care.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation, quality assurance policies and procedures, reports and supporting materials, to ensure an efficient and effective quality management system/s are in place.
- Assist in interpreting, implementing, and evaluating the adequacy of quality assurance standards to ensure they are in line with business objectives of the service.
- Collect and compile statistical quality data to devise procedures and directions for recording and reporting outcomes of quality activities to the Team Leader Family Day Care.
- Participate in the internal audit of quality and performance standards for family day care administration and payment processing, including, managing internal and external providers conducting on-site audits, to record and evaluate findings.
- Support the Team Leader Family Day Care on recommendations and implementation of appropriate corrective actions from internal and external audits.
- Participate in the investigation of customer complaints and non-conformance issues in a timely, concise, and efficient manner to support the Team Leader Family Day Care to resolve matters within service delivery standards.
- Identify training needs for staff and educators to lead to best practice delivery of service to ensure quality standards are met and compliant with law(s) and regulations.
- As part of the Key Selection Criteria, you must hold and supply these licences, registrations, certificates, etc., prior to offer of employment and commencement and continue to maintain them throughout your employment in this role with Council.
