**MANAGER - CORPORATE & BUSINESS SERVICES (ACCOUNTANT)**

Australia (Sydney)

Key duties and responsibilities

**Client Service Delivery**
- Managing/overseeing service delivery in the areas of Accounting & Tax, Payroll; ancillary assistance in other areas where relevant (Company Secretarial and HR)
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of client deliverables
- Identify areas of opportunity and take a lead in developing “product” and promote within the Firm and to clients
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to client management to support decision-making processes
- Analyze customer specific demands and provide relevant solutions
- Ensure that client responsibilities are managed effectively and to agreed client
best practice, regulatory and statutory deadlines

**Leadership and people management**
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the remote Business Services accounting team
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team
- Identify training needs and provide professional development opportunities for team members
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with relevant stakeholders as required on a client by client basis
- Evaluate financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend strategies for cost reduction and revenue enhancement
- Operational planning and process development of technical function ensuring capacity and capability in the team to deliver to clients, in line with agreed budgets, etc.

**Technical delivery**
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Coordinate with a global team to consolidate and review preliminary/draft financial statements
- Prepare and oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensuring compliance with client directed accounting policies such as IFRS or GAAP
- Ensure timely and accurate calculation of Management Accounting financial packages on a monthly or quarterly basis
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and cash
- Processing of revenue, payroll, expense, and TE entries

**Qualifications / Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master's degree or CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is highly desirable but not required
- Proven experience (5-8 years) in a senior-level corporate accounting role, preferably in a large organization or multinational company
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and financial reporting requirements
- Experience in managing and leading a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights
- Strong knowledge of accounting and best practices for international asset managers and financial services industry preferred
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and strong organizational skills
- Proficient in using accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Xero/Accounts IQ experience a plus but not required
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Integrity and ethics, maintaining confidentiality of financial information
- Excellent interpersonal communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across a global organizations as well as on their own initiative
