**About the Role**
This is the perfect timing to join our Procurement Services’ Governance and Strategic Enablement team where you'll play a key role in integrating ESG principles into the University’s procurement framework and supporting staff to advance key University strategic priorities. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders including Indigenous businesses, and industry bodies to develop and implement the ESG roadmap. Your primary focus will be on implementing Indigenous and sustainability-related procurement practices, enhancing governance, ensuring compliance and managing risk.

In this position, you'll be instrumental in building the reputation of the Procurement Services function, serving as a trusted partner in the University’s commercial activities. Responsibilities include:

- Lead, drive and advocate the University's commitment to Indigenous impact, climate leadership, and a just and circular economy by integrating ESG considerations into the procurement framework at the University.
- Implement the procurement ESG roadmap that will assess, develop, improve and influence policies, procurement processes.
- Establish and foster strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders, businesses, individuals and organisations.
- Engage in key external networks and forums (e.g. AUPN) to develop a sector approach to Indigenous impact.

**About You**

You will also have:

- Demonstrated ability to be proactive (take initiative) in delivering outcomes, communicate with influence, implement change and deliver projects
- Relevant experience in strategic operationalisation, transformation, change management, indigenous impact, sustainability or procurement
- Deep understanding of the cultural and social nuances of working with Indigenous businesses
- Experience in project management and execution, communications, or advocacy
- Demonstrated experience supporting stakeholders and delivering change, specifically in implementing policies, procedures orperformance indicators

The Finance team's core objective is to advance University strategy through financial leadership and innovation, strategic sourcing and contracting.

The Governance and Strategic Enablement team in Procurement Services supports the University's third-party expenditure by providing procurement policy, processes, governance, and system enablement. The team also offers data and commercial insights to strategically manage suppliers and advance key University priorities.
