As a Web Publisher, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the department's online presence, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is readily available to both internal and external stakeholders.
**Your new role**
As a temporary Web Publisher, you will be responsible for managing website page updates, content update requests, and organising publishing across internal and external platforms.
Your key duties will include:
- Collaborating with various stakeholders to understand their website update requirements
- Negotiating with authors of old content to either remove, or update and refresh old content
- Implementing changes to website content and ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Coordinating and publishing new content, including documents, images, and multimedia elements
- Conducting regular website maintenance activities, such as checking for broken links and outdated information
- Provide support and training to users on content management systems
- Monitoring website analytics and reporting on website performance
- Staying updated with industry trends and best practices in web content management
- Provide regular updates and suggestions to project leads
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in web content management or a similar role
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and web publishing tools
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks within competing deadlines
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web accessibility standards
- Familiarity with website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics
- Knowledge to guide stakeholders on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 including writing for the web and meeting accessible reading levels
- You must be an Australian Citizen to be considered for this role
- A valid National Police Clearance
