**The Role**
Reporting directly into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts receivable & payable team. Your role duties will include:

- Effectively and actively lead, manage and oversee a close knit team of 6 staff across Accounts Payable
- Manage the day-to-day administration of the accounts receivable and payable, including debtor management and supplier payment management
- Work with the Operational team to develop monthly cashflow forecast
- Drive process improvements within the collections & supplier payment processes
- Maintain master data eg. customers, suppliers and Purchase Orders
functions
- Assist with year-end audit and statutory reporting
- Other ad hoc duties to support the team

The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar leadership role, within a medium sized organisation, as well as the following attributes:

- Construction and Building industry preferred, though not essential
- Previous experience in leading a small team
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Excellent leadership skills with an ability to improve staff morale
- Passion and experience in developing and executing strategies which improve business performance
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong stakeholder management skills with excellent communication

**Organisational Profile**
Our client is a privately owned Australian business operating in the construction industry. It has seen consistent growth over the last few years and now has an exciting position within their Shared Services division. This is an exciting time for the business as it looks for key people who are ready to make a difference and help steer the company as it moves forward. Based in Melbourne's North-West pocket of Tullamarine, they require an Accounts Payable Team Leader to permanently lead a medium sized Accounts function.
