**The Opportunity**

A new opportunity has become available for a Manufacturing Trainer to work in our Sydney manufacturing facilities - Macquarie University and Lane Cove. This permanent role is responsible for developing and delivering training to, as well as conducting skills assessments for our Production employees.

Your responsibilities include:

- Plan, organise, and deliver one-to-one and group-based learning to production employees (ie. core skills and manufacturing skills)
- Plan, organise, and conduct skills assessments to assess both the Competency and Proficiency of production employees
- Train new production employees as part of the induction and integration program
- Update and communicate the training plan
- Regularly observe production employees to ensure ongoing compliance to relevant work instructions and production documentation
- Provide input into the design of work instruction sand relevant production documentation
- Assist with manufacturing with other key training initiatives such as the Cochlear Manufacturing System (CMS)

**About You. **As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or a commitment to complete the training as required for the role)
- Proven experience as an “on-the-job” trainer
- Competence in the manufacturing skills that the Manufacturing Trainer is required to deliver training to (or commitment to complete the training as required for the role)
- Ability to communicate effectively, with all levels of staff
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and organise work to ensure pre-determined deadlines are met
- Previous experience working in printed circuit board assembly, micro-electronics and/or manufacturing environment is highly regarded
- Working knowledge of LEAN systems is ideal
- Ability to work in both our Sydney manufacturing sites (Macquarie University and Lane Cove) and across both shifts (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm)
