**About the role**
Every one of our team contributes to helping make our members’ world better. As a** Team Leader, Superannuation Services **you will ensure efficient and effective execution of administrative activities, in a streamlined, efficient, cost-effective manner whilst also targeting a strong customer experience. You will lead, manage and be accountable for the day-to-day operations within the Operations business unit. This will see you take responsibility for leading your team to ensure service standards and expectations are met by engaging, motivating, and developing the team and ensuring that they have the capability, knowledge, skills and experience to deliver service to our members.
You will also oversee the end-to-end provision and improvement of the services in your team, which also includes active workforce management, risk and incident resolution and reporting and providing insights.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Operational management through use of workforce management tools and methodology.
- Lead and support team members to achieve milestones and deliverables whilst managing and monitoring their performance.
- Ensure that expectations for team are known, plans to achieve are in place and results for team are met.
- Assist in the identification, analysis and escalation of risks and facilitate an understanding of risk management processes within your team. As part of the normal performance review cycle, you will also encourage and reward open and transparent reporting of errors and behaviours which contribute positively to the desired risk and compliance culture.
Please note this role is known internally as a Team Leader, Operations.
**About you**
If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications may include:
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of superannuation products and services.
- Knowledge and understanding of the superannuation industry, legislation, and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively engage and develop positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including Heads of, Managers, peer leaders, auditors, and front-line staff.
- Highly developed organisational mindset with experience in bringing teams together on a cultural journey.
- Proven ability to effectively plan, prioritise and manage multiple and competing activities including leading the work of other business resources directly or indirectly as required.
- Proven ability to motivate staff, support and promote change and foster a positive, satisfying work environment.
- Strategic thinking capabilities and the ability to contribute to strategic visioning and planning.
