**The opportunity**
We currently have two opportunities (One PFT and One TFT until 30 June 2024) for the role of Logistic Operator, responsible for carrying out the receiving, storage and distribution of materials and goods to support the organisation’s infrastructure business requirements.

- This role will provide operational logistics support, including material returns, rotable pool management & disposals support, to all Infrastructure inventory facilities, including Clyde, Chullora, and Strathfield.
- If required, perform on time deliveries & stocktakes to all Emergency Stores Locations (ESLs), including on call support.
The main responsibilities for this role are, but not limited to:
- Execute safety responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities consistent with Sydney Trains safety management system requirements.
- Conduct annual stocktakes/cycle counting, report and resolve all discrepancies, maintaining accurate data and record keeping, validation and quality checking.
- Arrange / improve physical layout & storage to ensure accuracy of stock levels, safe storage or disposal of materials and accurate maintenance of records.
- Process all returns & provide the necessary disposals support.
- Issue, receipt, kit & despatch all materials in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Provide support to all Infrastructure inventory facilities, including Clyde, Chullora, Strathfield & ESL’s and start & finish from any other Sydney trains location as required to provide relief.
- Complying with workplace practices & procedures that prevent & detect fraud & corruption.
**Desirable**:
- On-call to provide service out of hours to the Metropolitan Network.
**Essential Criteria**:
- Demonstrated experience in logistics/warehouse/distribution activities, including setting and/or undertaking Inventory cyclic/annual counts.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience using inventory management systems. Extensive experience using SAP will be highly regarded.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated customer focus and understanding of customer service requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities, work well unsupervised, meet tight deadlines, operate well within a team, with a flexible attitude & willingness to identify opportunities for change &implement solutions.
- Current NSW Driver’s License, Forklift License and holds (or willing to obtain) Dogging (DG) license and capable to undertake relevant in-house training.
**Salary and benefits**
The salary for this position is pro rate at RC3 ($77,617-$85,905) plus superannuation and leave loading.
