Rosebery is an underground polymetallic base metal mine located in the township of Rosebery in Tasmania, Australia and is 100% owned by MMG Limited.

With continuous production since 1936 Rosebery mine has current potential to extend life beyond 2028. This underground mine has continually attracted and produced world class professionals. **Mine Manager**

This role manages the underground operations at Rosebery, including all mining personnel, contractors, mining activity and ancillary works. You will work closely with the Mine Technical Services department to develop and implement the mining plan, managing progress in respect of quality, time and costs. Importantly, you will draw on your expertise in a similar environment to create a high-performance culture that ensures the Rosebery Mine meet targets through efficient, well planned and safe mining activities. Key to success in the role will be your ability to optimise the operations through coaching and developing your people to enable them to take personal ownership of their roles and responsibilities on site. Your ability to deliver through people is vital.

To be considered, you must have skills, qualifications and experiences in complex mining environments that demonstrate the ability to make sound operational decisions. In addition to this, you must demonstrate expertise in establishing cultures and systems that imbed a safety awareness as well as managing multi-disciplinary mining teams. Past achievements in underground mine management, base metals and change management and the ability to leverage the resources and industry of the local regions in which they operate within will be viewed favourably.

You will have exceptional communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills, a strong ability to lead and motivate teams and have experience at a similar level. Essential to the role is a Tertiary degree in Mining Engineering and extensive proven underground operational experience.

The role has single-point accountability and as such is offered on a 5/2, 4/3 roster basis to ensure high continuity of leadership. An attractive remuneration is on offer for the role including a competitive base salary and annual bonus scheme. MMG will provide relocation support to the area as well as generous housing assistance.
