**Discover the Opportunity - Supply Planning Manager**

You will lead and manage all areas of supply planning disciplines for Opal Bags Solution and Opal Functional Coating, which will deliver the targeted customer service level within the agreed inventory targets for both Finished Goods and Raw Material.

You will be the champion for S&OP process and alignment for the business through cross functional activities with Demand Planning, Sales, Production and Logistics to procure materials, prepare capacity plans, manage inventory and drive improvements to ensure supply outcome at competitive costs.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

- Managing the Master Production Schedule balancing operational efficiency, inventory targets and customer demand
- Liaising with logistics and Customer Service to manage distribution requirements to meet customer targets
- Leading the response to Supply decisions in times of critical supply issues to ensure continuity of supply to Opal sites and strategic customers
- Managing inventory policy and management of all product inventory for the Maryvale site.
- Collaborating with business resources and stakeholders to ensure all the information requirements on capacity planning and network modelling are accurate
- Identifying Supply Chain Improvement Opportunities to deliver reduction of costs, reduced inventories or an improvement in service levels
- Contributing to divisional S&OP Planning
- Providing operational and thought leadership to the Supply Planning/Scheduling team and contributing to Opal wide supply chain improvement initiatives and projects.

Specifically for this role, you will have;
- Prior experience within a continuous improvement culture or Lean transformation environment.
- Experienced in managing the planning function across a manufacturing network of at least five production facilities.
- At least 5 years in supervisory/managerial positions within a supply chain and manufacturing environment.
- Be experienced in making complex ongoing decisions on the right balance between profitably versus customers service requirements in the short and longer term.
- Experienced in managing the supply function with a high number of SKU’s and customers.
- Strong working knowledge of various ERP systems and advanced excel skills.
- Ability to negotiate and influence senior sales and manufacturing managers.
- Ability to lead, direct and motivate team members in remote locations.
