About You: Are you ready to launch your design career with one of Australia's leading fashion brands? KIVARI is looking for a passionate and creative Junior Designer to join our close-knit team. This is your chance to help shape our signature collections, bring fresh ideas to the table, and develop your skills alongside experienced mentors in a collaborative, high-energy environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in translating seasonal concepts into on-brand, commercially minded designs.
  • Create initial hand sketches and detailed technical drawings using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Designing commercial capsules within the seasonal ranges with sustainable practices.
  • Support the team throughout the design and development process, from initial sketches to final samples.
  • Research trends, fabrics, and techniques to inspire new collections and stay ahead in the market.
  • Prepare mood boards, CADs, spec sheets, and presentation materials that capture KIVARI's unique aesthetic.
  • Help coordinate samples, fittings, and internal reviews to ensure every piece meets our high standards for quality and fit.
  • Manage the Design tracker and complete design-related admin tasks aligned with the Critical Path.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Design, Production, and Marketing teams to ensure a seamless journey from concept to customer.
  • Follow the company Critical Path to meet seasonal deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Fashion Design or a related field
  • A genuine passion for fashion, storytelling, and design
  • Denim experience preferred
  • Strong sketching or CAD ability and an eye for detail
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Organised, proactive, and keen to contribute fresh ideas
  • A collaborative spirit with the confidence to work independently when needed
