Overview

Education & Childcare Services Perth - Northern Suburbs & Joondalup. Permanent / Part Time role: Cook at Nido Padbury (Job No: 1093170).

Responsibilities
  • Prepare nutritious meals for young children in a childcare setting, supporting nutrition education and healthy eating habits.
  • Contribute to a positive, hands-on learning environment and model good cooking practices.
  • Conduct weekly stock takes and place orders to ensure appropriate food supplies.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen (kitchen and food handling).
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, early childhood regulations, policies, procedures, and work guidelines.
  • Understand and accommodate allergens and dietary requirements for children.
  • Cook for a large number of children and manage portion control and food safety.
Qualifications
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is required for this role.
  • Valid Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Previous experience as a Cook in a childcare setting is required.
