We are seeking a proactive and organised Marketing and Events Administrator to join the Lucas Drilling team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing initiatives and events that boost our brand visibility, engage our target audiences, and drive our organisational goals.
About the roleYou will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure the seamless delivery of promotional activities and events. Your role will be essential in enhancing Lucas Drilling's presence in the mining industry and supporting a positive company culture.
Key Responsibilities- Event Planning & Coordination: Collaborate with Business Development and other departments to organise staff celebrations, wellbeing events, corporate conferences, and marketing events. Manage all logistics including venue bookings, catering, scheduling, and guest coordination.
- Internal Communications: Draft and distribute engaging newsletters and internal campaigns that promote company culture, wellbeing, and engagement.
- Marketing Collateral: Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of branded materials such as stationery, clothing, signage, and print collateral, ensuring brand consistency.
- Brand & Digital Support: Assist with maintaining brand guidelines and support digital content creation for social media and other channels using tools like Canva or Adobe.
- Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records of event planning, budgets, supplier contracts, and marketing campaigns. Prepare reports to support future initiatives.
- Team Contribution: Take ownership of your performance, contribute ideas, develop your skills, and embody Lucas Drilling's core values.
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing or a related field will be highly regarded.
- Experience supporting marketing campaigns, content creation, and digital communications.
- Proficiency with marketing tools such as EDM platforms, Canva, and social media schedulers (or the willingness to learn).
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels.
- Experience coordinating marketing collateral and events.
- Ability to analyse data and prepare basic reports.
- Previous experience in a marketing administration role in a medium to large organisation is preferred.
- Creative thinker with an eye for branding and detail.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Collaborative team player who is enthusiastic and proactive.
- Strong written, oral, and digital literacy skills.
