
Events and Administration Assistant

We're looking for a Part-Time Events and Finance Administration Assistant (3 or 4 days per week) to support our CEO and team across all aspects of the business. This is a hands-on role that combines administration, event delivery, finance support, membership engagement, and office management. You'll work closely with our outsourced finance partner, help deliver major events like the VMA Congress and Venue Management School, and play a part in connecting our vibrant member community across the Asia-Pacific.

- Have experience in administration and/or events coordination.
- Can juggle competing priorities with attention to detail.
- Are team players who aren't afraid to "muck in" when needed.
- Are comfortable working with or learning finance systems and processes
- Are willing to travel a few times a year to assist with event delivery.
- Support the finance function by coordinating with our outsourced partner and assisting with reporting.
- Help plan and deliver VMA events—face-to-face and virtual—handling logistics, administration, and on-the-ground support.
- Assist with membership engagement and retention activities, helping connect venue professionals across the region.
- Contribute to the delivery of our education and professional development programs.
- Provide general administrative and office support across the business.
- Partner with the marketing, commercial, and operations teams to deliver on annual KPIs.
- Take on other tasks as directed by the CEO to keep the team running smoothly.
- Previous administration and events experience.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in handling numbers and finance processes.
- A flexible mindset and willingness to take on varied tasks.
- Availability for occasional interstate travel (three times per year).
