Western Health's Drug Health Services is seeking a motivated AOD Traineeship Coordinator to provide professional guidance and support to trainees in the Alcohol and Other Drugs program. This role is pivotal in fostering trainee development, coordinating learning opportunities, and ensuring the effective delivery of the program. Location and EmploymentFootscray & Sunshine Hospital – Fixed Term, Full-Time (12 months).
Salary: HS4 Level 1-5.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical coordination, guidance, and day-to-day support to AOD trainees
- Oversee project development and implementation of the traineeship program
- Coordinate structured learning opportunities, workshops, and rotations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design schedules and address trainee needs
- Support access to evidence-based resources and harm reduction approaches
- Experience supporting early career professionals in the AOD or health sector
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, coordination, and program facilitation
- Knowledge of harm minimisation, relapse prevention, and overdose prevention
- Interest in service planning, project development, and training programs
