The Opportunity

Contract - 12 months, with potential for extension

We're seeking a Senior C++ Developer with strong systems-level experience to join our engineering team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing a complex codebase, resolving existing issues, and architecting new modules that support evolving business needs.

This is an ideal opportunity for a developer who thrives on debugging intricate systems, writing clean and performant code, and contributing to scalable software design.

What You'll Do

  • Investigate and resolve existing bugs and performance bottlenecks in a large-scale C++ system.
  • Refactor legacy components to improve maintainability and reliability.
  • Ensure code quality through rigorous testing and documentation.

Module Design & Development

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement new software modules.
  • Translate technical requirements into robust, production-ready C++ implementations.
  • Integrate new features seamlessly into existing architecture.
  • Work closely with architects, DevOps, and product teams to align on technical goals.
  • Apply modern C++ standards and best practices (C++17/20) to ensure code efficiency and safety.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development workflows and system observability.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in C++ development for production systems.
  • Strong understanding of memory management, multithreading, and performance tuning.
  • Experience debugging complex systems and resolving critical issues.
  • Familiarity with modern C++ standards and STL.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience working in microservices or modular architectures is a plus.
