As a Cook you will be a keen and reliable employee with great communication skills and a friendly disposition. You will be responsible for cooking fresh and nutritious meals and enhancing residents' dining experience by ensuring and maintaining a personalised and customer-focused approach whilst adhering to food safety practices and regulations

Your Contribution

• Preparation of meals for Aged Care Residents that accommodates dietary requirements
• Preparation of texture modified diets, supplements and an awareness of allergens/ intolerances;
• Updating resident dietary information/records;
• Maintain kitchen hygiene & ensure that services are provided are in accordance with the Fresh Hope Communities Food Safety Program;
• Efficient stock control.
• Proactively contribute to the development of a high-engagement, high-performance team culture and a healthy kitchen culture.
• Proactively model the Fresh Hope Values in all interactions with the hospitality team, stakeholders, and external parties.
  
  

The Essentials

• Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery / Hospitality or equivalent;
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Food Safety Standards;
• Completion of a HACCP course is desirable;
• A good insight into the health, social or aged care services industries is desirable;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer service skills;
• Experience in the Aged Care Industry is desirable;
• Basic understanding of MS Office Suite;
• A current Criminal History Check (within the last three years) suitable for aged care or willing to obtain;
