Base pay range

A$99,938.00/yr - A$110,271.00/yr

  • Temporary full-time opportunity until 30th June 2026 based at Sydney Olympic Park location – flexible work arrangements will be considered.

About the role

The Grants Officer supports the delivery of sport and active recreation funding by providing expert advice and administrative support across grant programs. The role involves managing stakeholder queries, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial and audit standards.

Success in this role requires strong communication, integrity, and customer service skills, along with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The officer must demonstrate adaptability, attention to detail, and a commitment to inclusive and ethical practices aligned with the Office of Sport's mission.

About you

  • You thrive in fast-paced environments and can consistently manage a high volume of tasks with accuracy, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • You bring strong administrative and analytical skills to support effective grants funding, ensuring compliance and attention to detail across all documentation and processes.
  • You communicate professionally and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, confidently managing expectations and resolving issues with diplomacy.
  • You demonstrate integrity and sound judgment, balancing competing priorities while maintaining transparency and minimising conflicts of interest.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and assessing grant applications, ensuring compliance with funding agreements and public sector policies.

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident or hold a valid Australian working Visa for the duration of the appointment. Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory National Police Check and Pre-Employment Health Assessment.
