What you'll be doing

Step into a pivotal role as a Clinical Pharmacist – Cardiology at Westmead Hospital, where you'll deliver high-quality, patient-centred pharmaceutical care in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment.

• Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to the Cardiology Unit
• Ensure safe, effective, and cost-conscious medication management
• Actively engage in clinical governance, research, and education
• Develop protocols, promote stewardship, and support quality care
• Mentor staff, collaborate with teams, and support continuous improvement

Essential Criteria

• Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by tertiary education institutions e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy. Must satisfy Grade 2 classification as per Health Employees Pharmacists (State) Award.
• Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA

Selection Criteria

• Demonstrated excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal).
• Demonstrated experience in clinical hospital pharmacy practice in cardiology or equivalent extensive clinical experience.
• Demonstrated excellent therapeutic knowledge and ability to exercise a high level of initiative in the application of pharmaceutical principles to clinical practice.
• Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change.
• Excellent time management with attention to detail.
