Aura Lifestyle Services Pty Ltd is a service working with a small number of individuals who wish to lead a good life and their families who play an integral role. Aura works with each family and individual to establish their own team of workers to ensure a positive, consistent, and collective approach is achieved. All supports are genuinely individualized, unique and are safeguarding in nature, they also uphold the legal and human rights of those individuals we support.
Excellent working conditions including training and support and above award rates are on offer. Essential to this role are strong values, belief in possibilities, creative and reflective thinking, and strong communication skills. Willingness to support the individual/s to access a range of activities is also essential. Experience in supporting people with complex needs is also desirable, although not compulsory, as extensive training is provided.
Support Workers will be required to build positive relationships. You will have strong support from each person's family, from other team members and from Aura Lifestyles including training, buddy shifts, team meetings, open lines of communication and guidance and support from the Team Leaders in each arrangement. Aura Lifestyles also offer support workers direct and confidential access to an Employee Assistance Program (for work related and personal related matters).

THE PERSON WE ARE HIRING
We are currently actively looking to fill positions in the northern and southern suburbs of Brisbane and Caboolture area
A person with a strong capability to listen and learn. A person with a level of confidence, calmness, self-assurance, and the ability to be a critical and reflective thinker. A person who has experience in, or the ability to learn all aspects of supporting people with disability to live their best lives.
You will need to have a common vision of a good life, have an understanding that behavior is a form of communication, have skills and abilities in relation to personal care (or willingness to learn), routine and vigilance to ensure the highest quality of support is met. You will also possess time management skills to ensure all routines have been followed consistently.
You will also hold a current driver's license, current First Aid and CPR and NDIS worker's screening card.You will also have completed the NDIS "Quality, Safety and You" training module before you start. We are seeking motivated support workers looking for long term opportunities with casual employment contracts with the possibility of a permanent contract in the future, benefits and awards.
The successful applicants will typically be offered regular hours with one participant and are not expected to travel to multiple locations each day.
All positions are based on a 24/7 roster. The hours include day/evening shifts, weekends and sleep over shifts.
