Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain QuickBooks files for multiple clients and entities, including monthly reconciliations and check writing.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Accounting and clients to ensure all expenses are accurately reported and paid.
  • Support accounting functions for individuals, trusts, investment entities, operating companies, and private foundations.
  • Prepare cash flow analyses, financial forecasts, budgets, and other analytical tools.
  • Assist in the preparation of client and board meetings, providing financial analysis as needed.
  • Manage the monthly close process and bookkeeping function.
  • Review and reconcile monthly statements from third-party institutions.
  • Provide effective financial controls and ensure compliance with best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience with complex family groups, trusts, investment partnerships, or philanthropic entities is preferred (relevant experience in comparable environments will also be considered).
  • Strong business acumen, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and intermediate-level Excel skills.
  • Strong client service orientation with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple generations of clients and adapt to their needs.
  • Highly self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable in a small-team environment.
  • Intellectually curious and eager to grow within a family office–style setting.
