Are you an experienced administrative professional with a passion for governance, compliance, and delivering high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders?

The City of Wanneroo is seeking a highly motivated Senior Council Services Officer to join our Council Services Team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Coordinator Council Services, this position plays a critical role in supporting the Council's decision-making processes through the delivery of exceptional administrative support, preparation of meeting documentation, and ensuring legislative compliance.

In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and quality checking Council Committee Agendas and Minutes.
  • Operating audio-visual equipment during after-hours Committee and Council meetings.
  • Maintaining the City's meeting management system (InfoCouncil).
  • Supporting Council Services staff and ensuring governance procedures and checklists are up-to-date.
  • Delivering accurate, timely and professional administrative and customer service support.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of improved business processes.

About You
You will thrive in a highly regulated, politically sensitive environment and demonstrate:

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with Elected Members, City employees, the public, and external stakeholders.
  • Resilience, initiative, and sound judgement when dealing with competing priorities.
  • Confidence in handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

You will also bring:

  • Advanced administrative skills and demonstrated experience in a similar senior support role.
  • Sound knowledge of meeting procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Proficiency in the use of corporate systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A relevant qualification in Business Administration (desirable) and a current C Class Driver's Licence.

Additional Information
This role requires availability to attend after-hours Council and Committee meetings.
