Overview

We are looking for an experienced SSIS professional to take the lead on a high-priority migration initiative. The role involves upgrading a suite of SSIS packages from SQL Server 2012 to SQL Server 2022, ensuring compatibility, performance, and reliability throughout the process. This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone who thrives in complex environments and can work independently while collaborating with internal teams.

Responsibilities
  • Review and assess existing SSIS packages for upgrade readiness
  • Convert and modernise packages using SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT)
  • Optimise performance and troubleshoot post-migration issues
  • Develop and execute thorough testing plans to ensure data integrity and functionality
  • Maintain clear documentation of changes and configurations
  • Resolve technical challenges related to connectivity, data types, and execution
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong background in SSIS development and migration across SQL Server versions
  • Hands-on experience with SSDT and package conversion
  • Solid understanding of T-SQL and SQL Server performance tuning
  • Familiarity with custom C# code within SSIS packages
  • Experience with Git or similar version control systems
