Senior Payroll Officer Opportunity

Randstad is seeking an experienced senior payroll officer to join an established global organisation.

You will report to the Finance Manager and support the finance and HR divisions as well as the wider business. You will drive success in the payroll department and lead/contribute to payroll-related projects.

This role offers hybrid working from the office and home, with a salary of $110,000 - $120,000 + super. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility to extend/be made permanent.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage payroll processing for approx 700-800 staff.
  • Process end-to-end payroll including deductions, allowances, and expenses.
  • Manage payroll journals and coordinate end-of-month and end-of-year payroll processes.
  • Submit reports for Superannuation, Payroll Tax, and PAYG lodgements, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to local and international employment laws and regulations.
  • Coach and mentor the Payroll Administrator within the team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in related payroll projects.
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • End-to-end payroll processing experience, processing international payroll is a benefit.
  • Exposure to Australian and New Zealand payroll is beneficial.
  • Ideally have some payroll leadership experience.
  • Preferably worked with the Employment Hero system.
  • Knowledge of local employment/payroll legislation and ability to interpret awards.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
