About the team

Our Customer Platforms team builds innovative solutions that simplify complexity and drive informed decision-making across the customer facing platform at Xero.

About the role

As a Full Stack Engineer, you\'ll contribute towards the user-facing experience of our customer facing website. You\'ll work in a team focused on building and maintaining revenue generating initiatives, ensuring it is a secure, intuitive, and high-performing gateway for new customers and a seamless experience for existing ones.

Any experience building applications using the following tools and technologies would be a huge plus: React, React Testing Library, Styled Components, Storybook, Jest, NextJS, Java11 or above, AEM/Apache Sling, NodeJS (ES6+), AWS (mainly S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CDK), Akamai (or other CDNs), CI/CD products (TeamCity, Github Actions, AWS Codebuild).

What you\'ll bring

  • Proven experience as Full-Stack Engineer, ideally with hands-on experience across the entire development and implementation lifecycle, delivering software solutions at scale.
  • Previous experience with back-end technologies, such as Node.js, including building and maintaining APIs and services.
  • Exposure to designing and building modern engineering stacks, ideally with hands-on experience working in AWS.
  • Understanding of on-call practices and deep understanding of monitoring and observability tooling to proactively manage, troubleshoot, and optimise production systems at scale.
