As a Studio Assistant Educator, there will never be a typical day… Through our play-based learning philosophy, we are constantly reminded of the wondrous world we live in. You could go from singing Johnny works with One Hammer to a magician or gardener. Of course, you will still be responsible for all compliance-related tasks like safety checks, communicating with families, recording children's progress, routines, and interests — all while creating a safe, supportive space where children thrive.

We are a purpose-built facility in the heart of Drouin, Victoria, located next to Drouin Primary School. Our studios are spacious and filled with natural light. Here, children learn through play with stimulating resources and materials, exploring, experimenting, discovering, and solving problems in imaginative and playful ways. Our team at Grant Street are passionate advocates for children, dedicated to providing a safe, joyful environment that nurtures relationships and each child's holistic development as they progress through their years at Sparrow.

What you'll need:
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
  • Experience in engaging children in imaginative activities like treasure hunts, potion making, and singing loudly with little ones
  • Strong knowledge & understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Current & Valid Working with Children Check
  • First Aid and CPR certificates, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
