Length of contract: 12 Months

Contract extensions: 2x 12 months

Rates: $100 - $130 per hour (inc. super)

The CIO Division provides a range of enabling services and operations delivery to the department and to Australian businesses and is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Server Engineer to assist with the delivery of various ICT Projects across the Division.

The successful candidate/s will be responsible for day-to-day operations and business as usual processes (BAU) within the Infrastructure Services team. Specifically, the role will contribute to the department's ongoing support for Windows Server operating systems, troubleshooting, and escalation/ major incident resolution.

Essential Criteria

  1. Detailed Windows Server understanding and experience including Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, PKI, ADFS, File and Print, DFS and GPO with Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM).
  2. Experience with systems monitoring and patching in Microsoft System Centre products and Intune (SCOM, SCCM/MECM).
  3. Understanding of Cyber Security tools and methodologies including application whitelisting, host-based firewalls, vulnerability scanners and device control.

Desirable Criteria

  1. Experience managing Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) servers including template deployment, user and resource administration.
  2. Understanding of Australian Government Cyber Security requirements, processes and artefacts including ISM, Essential 8 and ACSC hardening guides.
  3. Strong experience in writing technical documentation including SOPs and design documentation.
  4. Experience implementing and managing Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as CyberArk, including vaulting credentials, session monitoring, and integrating with enterprise authentication systems.
  5. Experience with enterprise identity management solutions.
