Overview

Our client delivers a range of enabling services and operational support to the department and to Australian businesses. They are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Server Engineer to support ICT projects and provide high-level operational expertise within the Infrastructure Services team. Clearance: Australian Citizens only as you need to obtain a baseline clearance within 3 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations and BAU processes for Windows Server environments.
  • Provide expert support for Windows Server OS, including troubleshooting, escalation, and major incident resolution.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of core infrastructure services.
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server, including Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, PKI, ADFS, File & Print, DFS, and GPO with AGPM.
  • Experience with Microsoft System Centre products and Intune (SCOM, SCCM/MECM) for monitoring and patching.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and practices, including application whitelisting, host-based firewalls, vulnerability scanning, and device control.
  • Understanding of Australian Government Cyber Security frameworks (ISM, Essential 8, ACSC hardening).
  • Strong technical documentation skills (SOPs, design documentation).
  • Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as CyberArk, including credential vaulting, session monitoring, and enterprise authentication integration.
  • Experience with enterprise identity management solutions.

Qualifications
  • Strong Windows Server experience with expertise in Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, PKI, ADFS, File & Print, DFS, and GPO with AGPM.
  • Experience with Windows Server OS administration, automation, and patching.
  • Experience with Microsoft System Centre products and Intune (SCOM, SCCM/MECM).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and practices (application whitelisting, host-based firewalls, vulnerability scanning, device control).
  • Understanding of Australian Government Cyber Security frameworks (ISM, Essential 8, ACSC hardening).
