The Role
We are actively seeking Education Support/secondary teachers with exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a natural ability to communicate effectively and foster genuine relationships with parents, students, and colleagues. As a teacher in this role, you would promptly establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment, setting high expectations and cultivating a growth mindset, while nurturing students' social and emotional development.
Ideally, you will exhibit exemplary teaching skills, with a strong motivation to excel, and a commitment to delivering best practices. The capacity to excel in an environment characterised by whole-school connected practice, collaborative team structures, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth is highly valued.
As a member of our team, you would leverage high-impact teaching strategies and showcase experience in designing and delivering engaging literacy and numeracy programs. An understanding of differentiation to meet diverse student needs is highly valued, along with proficiency in utilising various assessment tools to inform progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide future classroom planning.
Mamaljan teachers display compassion and resilience. They utilise classroom management strategies that are low key and they work with a trauma informed approach. Culturally responsive teaching practices are highly valued and enable teachers in the Mamaljan context to build effective relationships with students, building on student strengths, passions and cultural understandings. An ability to work collaboratively and effectively with Education Support staff to progress student outcomes as a team is also central to this role.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.

- hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration .
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. More information about employment eligibility can be found on our website .
- apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
