The Role:
The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for overseeing the Paediatric RADAR programme across the North West region - a dedicated programme aimed at developing nurses' knowledge and skills on managing paediatric acute deterioration.
You will need:
- a high-level clinical knowledge, skills and utilises expertise in an area of clinical speciality to develop and apply education programs that focus on theory to clinical practice translation
- an understanding of best practice education frameworks to ensure education programs for nurses are designed with a focus on critical thinking, clinical reasoning, problem solving skills, and application of clinical judgement to provide safe contemporary nursing care
- high-level communication and leadership skills

Details of appointment:
Permanent part time, day worker position, working 12 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.
- notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

- Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications in education and/or clinical teaching and learning
- Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications in the area of clinical/practice speciality as relevant to the position
