The Role:

The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for overseeing the Paediatric RADAR programme across the North West region - a dedicated programme aimed at developing nurses' knowledge and skills on managing paediatric acute deterioration.

You will need:

• a high-level clinical knowledge, skills and utilises expertise in an area of clinical speciality to develop and apply education programs that focus on theory to clinical practice translation
• an understanding of best practice education frameworks to ensure education programs for nurses are designed with a focus on critical thinking, clinical reasoning, problem solving skills, and application of clinical judgement to provide safe contemporary nursing care
• high-level communication and leadership skills

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 12 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
  
  

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
  
  

Salary Packaging:

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

• Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications in education and/or clinical teaching and learning
• Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications in the area of clinical/practice speciality as relevant to the position
