What you'll do
  • Deliver high quality, high value, timely and solutions-focused legal services and independent advice to Transport for NSW and other agencies in the Transport portfolio, principally in the areas of privacy, regulatory compliance, investigations, prosecutions, and administrative law, with involvement in general regulatory matters.
  • Provide legal advice to Transport in relation to privacy impacts and compliance, legislation, and supporting governance.
  • Contribute to governance by offering expert legal services and applying legislation in various contexts.
Working arrangement

This permanent position is available in a hybrid working model aligned with Flexible Working Arrangements procedures, including a mix of two to three days in the Elizabeth Street office and remote work subject to approvals.

Requirements
  • At least six years' PQE with demonstrated experience forming legal views and providing expert legal services with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Elevated standard of integrity and professional conduct; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence effectively.
  • Knowledge of Government regulatory frameworks is preferred; experience in the government sector is not required if you are confident applying legislation in various contexts.
  • Current practising certificate in NSW.
