Electrician / Electrical Fitter

We are looking for an experienced Electrician/Electrical Fitter to join our team at Macfarlane Generators Pty Ltd in Clayton South, Victoria. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of power generation equipment and systems.
What you'll be doing- Carrying out electrical installations, maintenance and repair work on a variety of power generation equipment
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical faults and issues
- Performing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of electrical systems
- Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, schematics and technical manuals
- Completing all work in compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all work undertaken
- Collaborating with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex electrical problems
- Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Fitting, with a minimum of 2 years\' relevant experience
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including motors, switchgear, control panels and PLCs
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Commitment to working safely and adhering to all relevant regulations and standards
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other team members
- A current driver\'s licence
