Electrician / Electrical Fitter - IndustrialAbout the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrician/Electrical Fitter to join our team at Macfarlane Generators Pty Ltd in Clayton South, Victoria. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of power generation equipment and systems.

What you'll be doing
  • Carrying out electrical installations, maintenance and repair work on a variety of power generation equipment
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical faults and issues
  • Performing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of electrical systems
  • Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, schematics and technical manuals
  • Completing all work in compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all work undertaken
  • Collaborating with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex electrical problems
What we\'re looking for
  • Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Fitting, with a minimum of 2 years\' relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including motors, switchgear, control panels and PLCs
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Commitment to working safely and adhering to all relevant regulations and standards
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other team members
  • A current driver\'s licence
