Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the timely movement of metal scraps to meet contractual commitments and customer needs. The successful candidate will be punctual, reliable, motivated, possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate a high attention to detail, have the ability to meet deadlines under pressure and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

  • Coordinate the export logistics process, including shipping from the USA to various international locations (e.g., Korea, Indonesia, China, Taiwan, India, Pakistan, and Brazil).
  • Prepare, process, and produce export documentation that meets compliance requirements (e.g., Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Quality Compliance Certificate).
  • Prepare, process, and produce Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate, Form-6/Form-9, Bills of Lading; arrange and provide loading photos to consignees.
  • Coordinate daily activity between origination locations and freight companies to ensure timely and efficient shipping.
  • Prepare and execute freight negotiations with forwarders; coordinate requests for quotes and rate requests.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clientele.
  • Maintain accurate transaction records.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities during the logistics process to ensure optimum results.
  • Assist with light dispatching duties.
  • Answer questions regarding sourcing from internal and external customers as needed.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Incoterms and financial procedures in international trading (e.g., letters of credit, bank transfers, documentary trade presentation, payment terms).
  • Filing and other administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred.
  • Background in supply chain management/logistics. Must have experience working with third-party logistics.
  • Hands-on logistics experience; recycling and metal industry experience preferred.
