Compliance Manager

We here at TOM have partnered with a high performing insurance business to recruit a Compliance Manager. In this role, you'll support the business in meeting its Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) obligations, industry regulations, and internal governance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a fit-for-purpose compliance strategy aligned with group goals and risk appetite.
- Oversee compliance with local and international regulations, including AFSL requirements.
- Provide timely, practical compliance advice to key stakeholders across the business.
- Lead compliance monitoring and reporting activities, including audits and risk reviews.
- Identify and recommend improvements to systems, products, and processes from a compliance perspective.
- Leverage technology and data to improve compliance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Maintain and enhance the compliance framework, policies, and training materials.
- Proven experience in compliance, audit, legal, or risk management roles within financial services.
- Background in insurance industry is a must
- Strong understanding of the financial services regulatory environment, particularly AFSL requirements.
- Professional qualifications in risk, audit, or compliance, and relevant industry memberships (e.g., GRC, IIA, RMIA) are desirable.
