The Acquired Injury Support Services team within AnglicareTasmania are looking for people with a genuine desire to providethe best quality care for people with disabilities.

Acquired Injury Support Worker

Anglicare's Acquired Injury Support Workers provide directcare and support to clients to ensure that their individual needsare met. Anglicare works with clients using a person-centredapproach to assist and support clients to live a full life. The aimis to assist clients to develop additional skills in line withtheir goals and support plan.

The things that you may need to work with our clients onmay include:

  • personal care (showering, grooming and dressing);
  • medication administration;
  • meal preparation;
  • transport;
  • purchases;
  • social support;
  • record keeping and reporting.

To join our team you must have thefollowing:

  • Australian Residency status or valid Australian workingrights;
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care orDisability) or currently working towards one;
  • A current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence andan insured and reliable motor vehicle;
  • A current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable Peopleregistration;
  • have a Schedule 1 or Probity type National Police Check (noolder than 12 months and not an annulled record);
  • provide an International Police Check if you have residedfor 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of16.

IMPORTANT

  • Successful applicants are required to have an AnglicareTasmania assessed medical before commencement.
  • On commencement successful applicants will be required toundertake our structured Safeguarding Children Trainingprogram.
