About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Research Physician to join our Clinical Trials Unit located on the Central Coast of New South Wales. This is a pivotal role within a growing and reputable clinical research facility, offering the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge clinical trials across a variety of therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Principal Investigator (PI) or Sub-Investigator (Sub-I) on a range of clinical trials, ensuring all medical and regulatory aspects of trials are adhered to
  • Conduct medical assessments and oversee the safety and wellbeing of participants throughout the trial lifecycle
  • Collaborate with study coordinators, sponsors, ethics committees, and CROs to ensure compliance with ICH-GCP and study protocols
  • Review and interpret clinical data and provide medical oversight for adverse event reporting
  • Participate in ethics submissions, site initiation visits, and study close-outs
  • Contribute to the development of clinical trial protocols, SOPs, and internal processes

Requirements:

  • AHPRA-registered Medical Practitioner (Essential)
  • Previous experience working as a Clinical Research Physician, Investigator, or in a similar capacity within a Clinical Trials Unit
  • Sound understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulatory frameworks in Australia
  • Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and ability to communicate effectively with patients and stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality documentation and reporting

Desirable:

  • Prior experience in Phase I–IV trials
  • Exposure to a variety of therapeutic areas
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
