G.James QLD Glass Products Operations, locations based in Eagle Farm and Narangba , is looking for an experienced Dispatch Manager to join our team. In this role, you will provide leadership, direction, and support to the already established Dispatch team while ensuring the timely delivery and high level of service to our valued customers. You will also play a key role in developing and growing the team to achieve operational excellence.

The Role

• Oversee dispatch operations, provide strong, clear leadership to the team, ensuring effective communication to the dispatch team including loaders and drivers
• Proactively manage all glass and transport safety requirements, including COR, and basic BFM, loading and restraint standards
• Work closely with production, sales and customer service to coordinate priorities
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, driving and motivating the team towards ongoing excellence

The Person

We are looking for an experienced leader, a dynamic thinker who is committed to continuously improving and striving for excellence, with skills and experience in:

• Proven leadership experience of a dispatch/logistics within manufactured products industry (glass industry experience highly regarded)
• Experience with managing an Internal fleet of trucks / drivers
• Conduct regular toolbox talks and team meetings to reinforce safety, efficiency, and team expectations
• Exceptional communication skills with high levels of organisational, planning and attention to detail skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead by example and meet agreed KPIs
• Strong commitment to safety
