About the role:

Aid the broader team in the delivery of land access for renewable and cleaner energy projects. Prepare and negotiate land access and property related agreements with landholders and their representatives relating to Generation and Development activities in compliance with organisational guidelines, as well as fulfilling statutory compliance obligations and contract governance requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation and delivery of land access and property related agreements to gain and maintain access, including property acquisition, property sales, leasing and easements.
  • Develop and influence land access strategies and plans.
  • Take a lead role in land access contractual disputes and any required alternate dispute resolution.
  • Manage all aspects of contracts governance and execution relating to land access agreements to ensure compliance with organisational requirements.
  • Lead and conduct relevant due diligence across all jurisdictions and provide fit for purpose advice on key legislative or contract issues and risks relating to existing and proposed land access requirements and agreements to ensure compliance and reduce risk.
  • Preparation of land access agreement contract summaries including key terms and obligations.
  • Participate across internal project and corporate teams in relation to the preparation and negotiation of agreements to ensure the necessary input, approval and communication of non-standard matters and obligations occurs.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Free thinking, problem solving, and solution focussed mind-set, together with having superior facilitation and collaboration skills.
  • Be willing to travel to generation and development sites as required to meet with landholders and/or their representatives.
