About Our School
St Vincent Catholic Primary School Clear Island Waters is a co-educational school with over 790 students from Prep to Year 6. We offer modern teaching and learning, technology, and a wide range of extracurricular activities in a faith-based context rooted in Christian values and the ethics of the Sisters of Mercy and St Vincent de Paul.

Summary
Play a key role in supporting the school's administrative and operational needs. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Officer to join our Prep team in 2026. This full-time position supports early years learners in a dynamic and nurturing environment.

  • Start date: January 2026
  • Work hours: 27.5 hours per week
  • Salary: School Officer Level 2 $32.50 + super (School Salary Scale)
  • Status: Term-time | Permanent

About The Opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Organising documents and correspondence as directed
  • Responding to enquiries and providing basic information
  • Assisting with arranging meetings and school activities or events
  • Assisting Prep teachers in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences
  • Supporting students with individual and small group activities
  • Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment
  • Contributing to the social and emotional wellbeing of students
  • Collaborating with staff to support the learning and care needs of young children
About You

To be successful you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
  • Adaptable, flexible, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks
  • A genuine passion for working with young children
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Reliability, initiative, and a positive attitude
  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in early childhood or education support (desirable)
Eligibility and Safeguarding Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement
