Currently we are seeking a commercially astute and strategically minded Corporate Development Manager to join our high-performing Strategy & M&A team based in Melbourne (or Sydney).
About the Role:
As Corporate Development Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's long-term growth strategy. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, divestments, and other high-impact corporate projects.
This is a unique opportunity to work directly with senior executives on a number of cross-border deals into the US and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess potential acquisition, divestment, and partnership opportunities aligned with corporate strategy.
- Lead financial modelling, valuation analysis, market research, and commercial due diligence.
- Prepare investment cases and board-level presentations for proposed transactions.
- Partner with internal stakeholders including legal, finance, operations, and business units during deal execution and integration.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies in engineering and infrastructure sectors.
- Support corporate strategic planning processes, including long-range planning and portfolio reviews.
About You:
- 5–8 years' experience in corporate development, investment banking, strategy consulting, or private equity, preferably with exposure to industrials, infrastructure, or technology sectors.
- Strong financial modelling, commercial analysis, and deal execution skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Degree in Finance, Engineering, Commerce, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA highly regarded.
