ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Clinical Nurse (Education) with a passion for clinical teaching and facilitation. Our ideal candidate will have experience in Education and Perioperative Services (Scrub Scout) to join our Education Team at St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside. This is a permanent, part-time role of 48 hours (0.63 FTE) per fortnight. Reporting to the Education Manager, the Clinical Nurse (Education) is a vital member of the multidisciplinary team, responsible for promoting clinical excellence and staff development. This role supports the department's vision of delivering evidence-based care through continuous learning and professional growth by addressing both organisational and learners\' needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all aspects of clinical education and training within Scrub Scout.
  • Collaborate with other education team members across Perioperative and Procedural Services.
  • Provide person-centred development of staff, assess clinical skills, and assist with clinical education events within the Perioperative and Procedural Services environment.
  • Support other education activities across both Northside and Brisbane sites in collaboration with the clinical education team.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS (to be considered):

  • Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Scrub Scout
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a clinically-based education role (highly desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (current, and/or working towards)
  • Postgraduate qualification in clinical specialty (highly desirable, and/or working towards)
  • Postgraduate qualification in clinical teaching, and/or education in a healthcare setting, or equivalent (desirable)
  • Current Advanced Life Support Certification

REMUNERATION:

The position of Clinical Nurse (Education) includes a base remuneration of $56.98 - $61.04 per hour + superannuation, based on experience and qualifications, exclusive of shift penalties or allowances.
