Overview

Associate Accountant role at YETI. You will join the ANZ finance team and manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, collections and reconciliation of accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts and develop strategies to drive positive financial and operational outcomes
  • Provide a high level of customer service to partners regarding all billing/invoice matters
  • Monitor and collect debt within agreed timelines, coordinating with partners to meet payment terms
  • Follow up on all outstanding accounts in a timely manner and escalate to Finance Manager when required
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve issues and escalate as needed
  • Process and pay supplier invoices, reconcile monthly supplier statements, and liaise with suppliers
  • Maintain accurate records of outstanding debtors and provide regular reports; investigate and follow up overdue accounts
  • Review accounts, client payments, credit history and develop new or improved repayment terms
  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients/partners about their accounts
  • Assist with month-end processes including posting journals, balance sheet and GL reconciliations
  • Manage finance inbox and respond to queries in a timely manner
  • Drive process improvements to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Generate reports and statements as required
  • Maintain records and assist with data collection for audit purposes
Qualifications And Attributes
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Commerce or related field
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and month-end processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong customer service experience
