The RoleThis role will suit someone who is highly motivated, relationship-focused and passionate about creating engaging learning experiences to ignite a desire to learn for all students.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop high level teaching skills in a supportive environment to improve the future of students at educational risk. The ideal applicant aspires to academic excellence and is committed to high quality teaching and learning. Professional knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed practice and supporting students' social and emotional wellbeing is preferred. A sound understanding of The Western Australian Curriculum and the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework is critical to this role.
You will develop authentic and rich learning tasks, work with students to develop goals, apply a range of instructional and explicit teaching methods incorporating current and emerging technologies to meet the needs of our students. The team focuses on excellence and establishes a positive classroom learning environment using a restorative approach that emphasises responsibility, building resilience and self-confidence.
