Blue Light Victoria (BLV) is a charity delivering programs across Victoria that build resilience and wellbeing in young people by encouraging healthy, safe choices. Founded in 1976 with drug- and alcohol-free youth discos, BLV has grown into a vibrant organisation delivering evidence-based mental health and wellbeing programs, particularly for young people at risk of disengagement or contact with the justice system.
BLV works closely with community stakeholders, including Victoria Police and other emergency services, with the Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police serving as Patron. Each year, over 8,500 young people participate in our programs and activities.
Our values—Connection, Growth, Innovation, and Respect—guide everything we do. We are committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and child safety, ensuring young people feel supported, safe, and respected.
Organisational Structure
BLV is governed by a Board of Directors, with the Chief Executive Officer providing operational and strategic leadership. Our state office, located at the Victoria Police Centre in Melbourne, comprises paid staff and volunteers who deliver school-based programs, training, and development, and support our 13 branches across Victoria.
BLV branches run a variety of structured and supervised initiatives for young people, including fitness and personal development programs, discos, and camping experiences, catering to a wide range of ages and abilities.
About this Role
The Schools Engagement & Business Development Coordinator drives growth in BLV's school programs across Victoria.
