Mechanical Supervisor - Generator Maintenance

The project involves restarting the Yilgarn Hub and supports the owner's operation across all elements of the hub. This role is part of a small, high-performing team focused on safe, efficient, and sustainable production in the Yilgarn Region.

The Role

You will join the NPI team as the Mechanical Supervisor, overseeing the maintenance of power generation systems, predominantly diesel generators, across the Yilgarn Region. You will manage a team of 6-8, as well as subcontractors, ensuring scheduled and reactive maintenance is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise mechanical maintenance of power generation systems, primarily diesel generators.
  • Lead and manage a small team of trades and subcontractors.
  • Execute planned and reactive maintenance safely and to the required standard.
  • Coordinate with other site and NPI team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance with safety standards.
Skills & Experience
  • Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or HD Fitter with extensive experience maintaining diesel generator sets.
  • Experience supervising small teams, including subcontractors.
  • Proven ability to work safely in operational mining environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience executing maintenance schedules, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Previous experience in multi-site or regional operations highly regarded.
